How can we be Christ’s hands and feet in this world? Paul puts it well in his letter to the Corinthians: “Let all you do be done in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14

Boarding the bus to get to work, queuing for your food at the hawker centre, or having a chat with a colleague – all these things may seem mundane, but the truth is that they can be done intentionally in love. Greet the bus driver, smile at the hawker serving you your food, listen attentively and encourage your colleague as you chat. Love can be shown in the smallest of ways! We do not have to do great or grand things to show love to the people around us.

To be Christ to others is to love them with all our hearts. To grow to become more and more like Jesus is to do every little thing intentionally in love.

Perhaps that sounds a little daunting – it seems impossible to be kind and loving at every moment, especially towards those who may not be as easy to love. That’s true! We won’t be able to love on our own strength – so it’s a good thing that we don’t have to. As we draw near to God, we allow Him to fill us up with His sufficient grace and love - this love then overflows to those around us. God is the limitless source from which we draw our love from.

What a blessing it is that God gives us sufficient grace to love others with His abundant love! May you choose this day to tap on this resource that God gives to us freely – let us love at all times, that others may see and experience Christ working through us.
