Spoiler alert! God has won the victory!
That thing you’ve been worrying about and turning over and over in your head - He’s got it covered. All the fears and anxieties that you have about life - He’s in the process of redeeming and restoring all that has been lost.
It’s hard to keep these spiritual realities alive in our hearts when what’s in front of us is undeniably scary and dire.
Jesus says, do not be afraid! But how can I not be afraid when I look at the bad medical report in my hands? How can I be strong at the bedside of a loved one who is dying? How can I trust that everything is going to be okay when I look at the dwindling numbers in my bank account?
“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Joshua 1:8
We can trust the words of Jesus when we come to know Him for who He truly is. We can trust Him when we get close enough to know Him as a Father and a friend.
And how do we do that? Through spending time meditating on His word. Encountering Christ through the scriptures is a sure way to bat away the fears that grip our hearts.
So spend time with the Lord today, and claim all the victories over your life. He is a good God who will take care of you.
