There is no sweeter place to be than in the presence of God. It’s a place where you don’t need to hide the parts of yourself you’d rather not show to the world - it’s a place where you are fully known, fully seen, and completely loved.
All of us are longing for that connection - to be seen, known and loved. God may have gifted us people in our lives who make us feel that way, but nothing compares to the unfailing, unshakeable, steadfast love of God.
“My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.” Psalms 84:2 NIV
In His presence is where we truly belong, and where our hearts long to be. When Christ looks at us and we see the overflowing love in His eyes, that’s when every bit of shame, fear and anxiety will melt away.
Every “not good enough” will be silenced, and finally, our hearts can rest secure in the knowledge that we are loved more than we will ever know. Not for what we do or do not do, but just because we were made by Him and we belong to Him.
