The weight and worries of the world can really burden our souls and steal our joy.
A burdened soul needs rest. It needs to go back to its Maker, sit for a little while, and allow Him to share the burden. Only then will the burdened soul be at peace.
““Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”” Matthew 11:28-30
Jesus invites us to run to Him whenever we feel like life has gotten a little too heavy for us to bear. His heart towards us is gentle and tender. He desires to relieve us of our burdens, and allow us to travel lightly again.
Are you ready to exchange your weighty burden for one that is light? Come to Jesus. He promises to relieve you of the heaviness of life, and give you rest that satisfies and endures.
