Isaiah 60:1-6 - Rise and shine in the last days! | Short Sermon Series
Isaiah 60:1
Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
Children of the light, we are called to shine and be the light to others.
Why you may ask?
#1 Our light Jesus Christ has come. He has died, buried and risen. Winning victory over sin on the cross. What is more fitting than living and shining for Him?
#2 For the glory of the Lord has risen upon us. It would be impossible for us to shine without Him. Through Him, we are no longer trapped in the frustration of living by our own resources. But we are able to shine through His life in us.
#3 Darkness is hovering the horizon, clouding many morally, siritually, financially and emotionally. In so many areas there is despair hovering over the world. However do not fear as the Lord is with you and it is in darkness, that light is easier to be seen.
In this period of Lent, as we reflect upon Christ's sacrfice, may we also reflect on how we are able to shine for Him and be the light for others.
