Keeping the dream alive | Short Sermon Series
At some point in life, we’ve all heard someone say the phrase “but don’t get your hopes up” when dreaming about an exciting idea or two. But here’s the thing with God - it’s not only okay to dream big, but God actually wants you to dream big!
When we lean into the lord and remind ourselves of all He’s done and His promises, we start to see the truth. We begin to realise that all the thoughts of fear and insecurity were just mind games that the enemy has been playing with us, to crush our dreams before they even have the chance to grow. It’s crazy how we often entertain these thoughts (from the enemy) which are the opposite of what God has for us.
But in these moment, we have a choice. You can choose to remind yourself that you are His beloved and He is holding you secure in His hand.
Even when you heart feels heavy, you can still tell your spirit to be thankful, rejoice in His complete work, and trust in Him. The more we see things from God’s perspective, the more our faith rises. And when our faith rises, we gain confidence to step out into the dream, where He will meet us there. God doesn’t just want you to dream big, He has created you to grab hold of His promises and launch yourself into a the future of your dreams!
