My Hero | Short Sermon Series

Who was your first hero? 😆

Some may think of Superman but some may also think of someone much closer.

He may not have super strength or super speed, but God gave him a real superpower.

The reflection of Himself.

Taking on an earthly portrayal of our Heavenly Father, fathers have a tall order to live up to. But braving the challenges, they carried their little ones on their shoulders, and shouldered the responsibilities in the family.

Not perfect, our father figures may not be the best in expressing their love. But it is through their words and actions that we find them. From their early mornings and late nights from work to their words of wisdom, we see their efforts to show care and to provide. Playing a key role in their child’s growth.

However, fathers don’t often hear how important they are. As we may find new heroes when we grow older, let’s not forget the first hero that God has sent to us! It is almost Father's Day, so why not take the opportunity to tell your hero how much you appreciate him? ☺️ ☺️
