Praise The Lord | Short Sermon Series
“Praise the Lord, may I never forget the good things He does for me.” Psalm 103:2
Written in David’s later years, Psalm 103 is a beautiful song of praise and remembrance. David recounts how God has been so good to him throughout his life, blessing him abundantly, and showing him undeserved grace and mercy. It is out of this recognition of the great things God has done that David lifts his voice and sings with deep gratefulness.
How has God been good to you? There are definitely countless examples where God has demonstrated His grace and love throughout your life. Just like David in Psalm 103, it would be good to write these instances down, lest they be forgotten. Write it down so that when the terror of the night comes and the trials of life get too overwhelming, you will be able to look back upon how God has been faithful to you in the past, and know that He remains faithful in the present and the future.
The blessings of God are all around us! May we never forget how loved we are - even in the worst of circumstances, we remain as children of God, and He remains good.
