The Lord is holy - He is pure, good, true - there is no sin or darkness to be found in Him.
In the depictions of the throne room of God, He is always surrounded by angels who cry, “Holy, holy, holy!”
“And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”” Isaiah 6:3 NIV
Isn’t it magnificent that the one trait of God that is proclaimed day and night is His holiness?
And if that is the defining trait of God - that He is pure, good, blameless - then as people created in His image, we too ought to live as people who are holy, set apart for good works, living lives worthy of the gospel.
Our holiness is important to God! And day by day, He’s in the process of refining us and teaching us to be holy.
Let us walk closely with God as He leads us on the narrow path. May we choose wisdom and holiness, even as the world tries to pull us away, for, to love God is to desire to be holy and free from sin!
