Jesus tells us who we are in Matthew 5 - “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14
As followers of Christ, we embody and bring light into the spaces that God has called us to. Through our speech and actions, we live counter culturally to the world, and when others see us, they experience the love of God through us.
You may not feel like you’re that much of a light - perhaps you struggle to be holy, righteous and sin-free. But the constant struggle against what you know to be wrong, and the constant pursuing of the things of God, is exactly what sets you apart from the world.
So let this be your encouragement today - Jesus has declared that you are the light of the world! So don’t hide your light - burn brightly and let His love and presence permeate every conversation you have and every room you enter.
