Bloom Where You Are Planted
We often wish to return to the past or to be in the future - in a way, we live in times that are not our own. That’s because the present is painful, it’s hard to accept the things that are going wrong, and hard to put in the work to make things better.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-3 says
“There is a time for everything
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build”
There is a season and time for everything - and to live in a time that is not our own would not be wise.
May we learn to bloom where we are planted, for the place where the most growth and action happens is truly the present. It’s not easy, but there’s a God who loves you and is with you every step of the way!
