Fix Your Eyes On What Is Unseen | Short Sermon Series
There will always be moments when life knocks us off our feet. An unexpected diagnosis, a sudden job loss, or a relationship breakdown.
Whatever it is, those moments can feel like a punch to the gut. We find ourselves on our knees, in tears, reeling from the weight of the world and the deep pain in our hearts.
When all we see before us is loss and hopelessness, God offers us a steadfast hope that extends beyond our current circumstances, ”So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.“ 2 Corinthians 4:18
It will do us much good to remember that our lives on Earth are temporary. Beyond our mortal existence is the promise of a perfect eternity, where there will be no more tears, no more pain, no more suffering.
In times when it seems like your world is on fire, look not at the destruction around you, but at the One who remains King over your situation. You may not see Him physically but know that He is there.
Fix your eyes on Jesus, though He is unseen, He is right by your side, working in ways you cannot see!
