Give God’s Word Priority And See Good Success - Encouraging short sermons and devotionals compiled by The Commandment Co

In life, there is good success and bad success. Bad success is the kind of success you get at the expense of your personal well-being, relationships, etc, while good success sees you prosper in every area of your life.

Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. - Encouraging short sermons and devotionals compiled by The Commandment Co

God wants you to enjoy good success and the key is in what God told Joshua when he took over Moses in Joshua 1. Meditating on God’s word continually will give you godly wisdom and prospers your way to give you good success.

When we prioritise God’s Word in our daily lives, God blesses us back in our finances, relationships, family, and every aspect of our lives - Encouraging short sermons and devotionals compiled by The Commandment Co

At the end of Joshua’s life, the Lord had prospered Joshua and He was so sure of the Lord that he said, “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Jos. 24:15) We find that Israel served the Lord, not idols or other Gods (Jos. 24:31) as they were so impacted for God’s glory during Joshua’s time. Finally, when Joshua died, they buried him “within the border of his inheritance at Timnath Serah, which is in the mountains of Ephraim”(Jos. 24:30). At the end of his life, Joshua had a whole mountain for an inheritance! He was prosperous and indeed he had good success.

And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of [e]the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15 - Encouraging short sermons and devotionals compiled by The Commandment Co

And they buried him within the border of his inheritance at Timnath Serah, which is in the mountains of Ephraim, on the north side of Mount Gaash. Joshua 24:30 - Encouraging short sermons and devotionals compiled by The Commandment Co
