Great is Your faithfulness | Short Sermon Series

They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

~ Lamentations 3:23

Life sometimes put us into difficult circumstances where we feel discouraged, lost and tired. And like how Jeremiah felt over the destruction of Jerusalem, he lamented. Writing about how difficult and depressing his circumstances were in captivity. But from the same person we receive words of hope.

Jeremiah gives us a great testimony of God’s divine grace. That even in times of the deepest, darkest, and most dangerous circumstances in life, there is hope! We are told that the steadfast love of God never ceases and no matter how bad situations become we have God's unfailing reassurance that His mercies and compassion are new every morning. How great is the faithfulness of our gracious God!

To those who are experiencing your own difficult days, may we do what Jeremiah did. Take a moment to stop, and remember God’s faithfulness. Remember how He answers prayers and His providence. You may be going through dark times but His faithfulness will come shining through. May He continue to give you new strength and peace every morning. Keeping you under His wings of refuge, with His faithfulness as your shield.
