I Will Be With You | Short Sermon Series
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:2
At times the circumstances of our lives can feel like we’re being thrust into the ocean, and the waves seem strong enough to drown us. It can feel like we’re being thrust into a fire and the flames might burn us up. Sometimes the heartbreak and the pressure of our lives seem too much to bear. We are crushed on every side and the pressure seems strong enough to make us crumble.
Through the tears and the days where it seems like you can’t bring yourself to take another step, God whispers a word of comfort: I am with you.
He is with you. Let that truth sink deep into your soul as you battle your giants and your fears. Even as you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, fear no evil – He is with you. The waves will not drown you, the fire will not burn you. Take heart and have peace: you will make it out alive, for this is the steadfast and complete assurance we have in Christ.
