Let's Not Grow Weary In Doing Good | Short Sermon Series
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
It’s difficult to be Christ-like in a broken world. The brokenness of humanity leads to injustice, greed, and in repaying good with evil. Where people frequently step on each other to get to the top of the corporate ladder, or cheat each other to get more money – doing good and living an upright life may get you left behind.
But despite the brokenness of the world and how our goodness may not seem to pay off, God urges us to not grow weary in our pursuit of Christ-like behaviour. Don’t let the ugliness of the world corrupt you too! Keep on the straight and narrow, don’t get jaded, keep living well and living right. It may be tiring, and at times, fruitless, but God promises that in time, the seeds we sow and the labour of our hands will surely reap a harvest.
So keep on keeping on! God sees your efforts and your earnest desire to follow Him. He is working even when we cannot see it, and in God’s own time, we will surely see a harvest.
