Life is so unpredictable and dynamic, and that can leave us feeling rather scared and vulnerable at times. There is only so much we can control, which makes us prone to worry about all our fears and the “what if”s.
God doesn’t want us to worry - worrying steals our peace! It can make us think of the worst possible outcome and get stuck in our heads. When we worry, we forget who God says He is, and we forget His promise of peace to us.
Is 54:10 says, “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”
In the worst of circumstances, where the ground around us seems to be shaking and life seems to be crumbling, one thing remains certain and unfailing - the love that God has for us, and the peace that He promises to us.
We are deeply loved by a sovereign God who has all things under control. He is aware of the smallest of your worries, and He desires for you to lay it at His feet in exchange for His peace.
