Practical tips we can do during these kinds of period. Beautiful watercolour wallpaper design.

As we practise social distancing, it’s important that we continue to keep our community close and take care of our mental health. Here are a few practical tips for this period:

 1. Get yourself into a routine

Get into a routine. Christian bible verse wallpaper.

For those still working from home, it's easy to not have a distinction between work and personal time. Aim to draw clear boundaries on how you spend your time so that you get enough rest (and minimise the chances of conflicts with family members). If you work 9-6 normally, stick to that. Designate appropriate breaks and finish work by 6pm so that you can have time for yourself and your family after. Fill up your time purposefully and don’t binge on YouTube till the wee hours!

2. Stay Connected

Stay connected during this period!

It’s important to stay connected, especially in these times where we can get disconnected from others so easily. We all need community to watch out and take care of each other, for one person may be easily overpowered, but a threefold cord is not easily broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

3. Keep Being Active

Keep Being active in this trying period! Productivity is important.

Exercise helps us reduce stress, improve our immune system, and it is even scientifically proven to make us happier. So don’t let this period stop you from going out to enjoy a bit of fresh air. Be it a jog around your estate or a walk in the park, the possibilities are endless! There are many free online workout tutorials on YouTube too, which can be done in the comforts of your home. Stay fit and healthy!

4. Cherish your alone time

Cherish your alone time because it helps you recharge and reflect on your life

This would be a perfect time to pick up a new hobby, skill, or do something you’ve always wanted to try. Life is waiting for you to go and live it! With so much time on your hands, it will be good to spend some time with the Lord too. Instead of checking your news feed first thing in the morning, start the morning off with a simple ‘Good morning, God!’ and thank Him for the day ahead of you, the house you’re provided with, the toilet paper in your toilet...

God gives us peace during this trying period. Stay safe and healthy everyone!

Don’t let this time go to waste. Let’s continue diving deeper into intimacy with God as we rest in God’s peace.
