Walking in your gift - Encouraging short sermons and devotionals compiled by The Commandment Co

“How do I walk in my gift?” First, you’ve got to identify it. Ask yourself questions like what you like to do - often our gifts are hidden in out passions. What would you do for free if nobody paid you, because a career is what you’re paid to do but a calling is what you’re made to do. What do others see in you, because often others see what we don’t see in ourselves! When we find our gift, bring it to God and He’ll show you how to use your gift. Don’t let the enemy rob you of your gift or make you use your gift just for yourself, because God has so much bigger plans than that!

But then comes the question, “how do I balance my gift and my ‘dirt’?” As humans, we often put our gifts forward so people will love us, but our hearts desire someone who sees our dirt and loves us anyway. And that’s the thing with God, he sees all your gifts AND your dirt, but He still loves you the same! ♥️♥️

When we embrace His love for us and give Him our gifts AND dirt, He does something wonderful with it for you. Like a basketball in the hands of Michael Jordan versus a novice, it all depends whose hands you choose to put your life in.

Life really begins when we put it into His hands and let Him work something beautiful. The gift is in you, it always has been, you just need to stir it up and put it in His hands 😌😌

Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind 2 Timothy 1:6-7 - Encouraging short sermons and devotionals compiled by The Commandment Co
