Why do we fret about our futures when God has already promised us that He will take care of us? Our lives are held securely in His hands. In every storm and terrible circumstance, His presence and peace will remain.
“But I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in your hands;” Psalm 31:14-15a
The same way that Jesus was able to sleep soundly in the midst of a storm is the same way our hearts should rest when things around us seem to be going off track.
May we, like the Psalmist, be able to fix our eyes on God and His promises, and tell our worried souls - “He is my God”. Our God is for us, and our lives are precious to Him.
Dear Child of God, we pray that you would remember this fact today - He will never leave us, nor forsake us. Our futures are held secure in His hands, and with Christ in the vessel, we can smile at the storm!
