A present from God | Short Sermon Series

Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

~ John 4:13-14

Water is essential in life. A precious commodity to survive, we need water. Similarly, Jesus is essential in our lives. He is the key to eternal life, and we need Jesus.

But unlike regular water, Jesus promises a special water that whoever drinks it will never thirst again. A water that we don’t have to carry or purify, this water wells up within us.

Jesus is giving us the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, seal us, and fill us. He helps us to understand God by giving us spiritual understanding (1 Cor. 2:11-16). He leads us to Jesus, places us in Jesus, matures us in Jesus. Living in us and empowering us to live the Christian life.

He transforms our lives from what we used to be! Isn’t this the best water we can be given?
