As we walk closely with our loving Father, speaking with Him and communing with Him - we begin to understand His heart for the world. We see His love for humanity, and His steadfast character. He gently shares with us His plans and hopes - He shows us what breaks His heart, and what He desires for the world.
Over time, when we hear Him ask, “Will you join me in loving this broken world?” - our reply will be a wholehearted, “Yes.”
It isn’t about throwing away our own dreams and desires, but it’s about allowing our hearts to be shaped by Him. When our desires are aligned with His plans and purposes for our lives, we can be confident that we walk in the ways He has purposed for us.
Stick close to God, tell Him of your plans, desires, and dreams. Let Him speak into your heart and shape your desires to be aligned with His.
Thereafter, we wholeheartedly pray this Psalm with you - “May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” Psalm 20:4
