Because God Has Better | Short Sermon Series
Sometimes your plans don’t work out because God has a better one.
When doors slam shut and paths seem to reach a dead end, our first instinct might be to despair in the crumbling of our hopes, ambitions, and dreams.
But in these moments of disappointment, would you remind your heart of this one fact - God’s plan has always been one of redemption and restoration. He works all things out for your good. Your tears will never get the final say.
When we encounter setbacks, we may in fact be witnessing His divine rerouting – a detour designed to lead us to life more abundant than we know it. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it.
Consider Joseph - the best example of God working out a bad situation for Joseph’s good and His glory. From being sold as a slave by his brothers to eventually becoming Pharaoh’s right-hand man - Joseph’s life was never out of God’s hands or plans.
No matter whether Joseph was in the darkness of the pit his brothers threw him in, or wrongly accused to be sent to prison, Joseph’s situation was never hopeless, even if it might have seemed that way. God was always in control, and God’s challenge to Joseph was to trust His goodness, character, and the steadfastness of His promises.
So, when your plans seem to crumble, and you find yourself standing at the crossroads of uncertainty, trust in the One who holds the master plan. Seek His guidance, and remain open to the redirection of your path. Embrace the detours, for they may lead you to experiences, people, and opportunities you never could have foreseen.
