Perfect Will Of God | Short Sermon Series
There are so many opinions and philosophies on how we should be living our lives. Should we chase success? Or wealth? Or strive to maximise our happiness? Which one is the right way to live?
When God called us out of our sins, He set us apart from the world. We are no longer to be “tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching...” (Eph 4:14), but instead, to live according to the will of God.
The teachings of the world will have a heavy influence on us, and that’s why we are cautioned to take extra care to not conform to how the world lives and thinks. After all, earth is not our true home – we’re visitors here, and our true home is in Heaven.
So let us live with Heaven in mind, allowing God to renew us each day such that we do not conform to the world, but instead, bring the culture of Heaven to the world. May also we strive to adopt a posture of humility, living not according to our own ideas of what is good, but going to God daily to ask, “God, what is your will for my life?”.
It is our prayer that you would be able to discern the good, well-pleasing and perfect will of God, and to live according to His will for you. And know that as you deny yourself, take up your cross, and choose to follow after Him, the joy and fruitfulness of your life will surely increase. Amen
