Protect & Sustain Us Through Trials | Short Sermon Series
The greatest and most life-giving hope anyone could ever have comes from a deeply rooted faith in God. If God exists, and if He is as good as scripture says He is, then we truly have nothing to fear. Nothing in this life can stamp out the hope we have – a hope that even death cannot touch.
Knowing that our God walks with us and is for us should bring much comfort and peace to our anxious souls. Our God is Father – He is deeply interested in our lives, deeply involved, and His heart for us is so good.
Isaiah 43:2 details a precious promise that our Father makes to us, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you."
Read that promise again and really think about what it means for you in your current season. We have the full assurance of God that there will never be a trial in our lives where He will not be walking right beside us. There will never be a trial in our lives that will knock us off our feet and prevent us from getting up again. No great wave or flame will harm us.
God is with us in our battles, and He is working out all things for our good. Remember this rock-solid hope you have today and know that no matter what comes your way, He will see you through it.
