The Beauty of God’s Care: Lessons from the Flowers | Short Sermon Series

It is human nature to worry… and we do it so often! Can you say that at this current point in your life you have nothing that you are worried about? Perhaps not.

Christ knows that we are prone to worry and be anxious about our futures, but as the One in deepest communion with the Father, He knows the Father’s heart for us. Knowing how much God loves us, Christ knows with absolute certainty that there is no need for any of us to worry.

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?” Matthew 6:28-0 3

The Father’s meticulous and deep care extends not just to us, but to His Creation around us. Just look at the flowers – they bloom with grace and ease, adorned with so much beauty. If God put in so much effort into the beauty of a flower, how much more will He take care of us?

If you ever doubt the extent of God’s love and care for you, look to the flowers of the field and know that He cares more than you will ever fathom.
