If the devil ever tries to sell you the lie that God doesn’t love you and that He doesn’t really care about you, picture the cross in your mind and look towards it.
See Jesus on the cross, His body broken and bruised, His head fitted with a crown of thorns that press into His forehead, leaving wounds that run with blood. See the lashes on His back, that rub against the rough wood of the cross as His chest moves with each laboured breath.
Why is Jesus, the Son of God, on the cross?
He’s there for you. He’s there to take on the price of all your sins, so you can be reconciled back to the Father.
He’s there because you are so precious to Him. Too precious to leave in the darkness and in the pit of sin.
He gave His life so that you could enjoy life to the fullest extent.
Oh how great is His love for you!
