End the Year with Hope, Begin the Year with Faith | Short Sermon Series
In every trial and every circumstance, hope is never lost. As we close this year, no matter what you’ve faced or are still facing, we hold on to a sure and blessed assurance.
“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” – Philippians 4:13
The end of a year often stirs mixed emotions—gratitude for the good moments, weariness from the challenges, or even disappointment from unmet expectations. Maybe you’re feeling like you’ve reached the end of your own strength, uncertain about the future or burdened by this year’s struggles.
But even in those moments, Paul urges us to look to Christ.
No matter how bad it gets, Christ will always be there.
- He’ll be a guide when we’re lost.
- A friend when we’re lonely.
- A Saviour to rescue us when we’re weighed down by sin or despair.
In every moment of this past year, He was there. And in the year to come, He will be there still.
As we reflect on the trials and victories of the past year, let us also look forward with faith. We can step into the new year with confidence—not by our own strength, but through His endless grace and power.
When we lean on Christ, draw from His strength, and trust in His promises, we are reminded of this beautiful truth:
We are not just survivors of this year—we are more than conquerors through Him.
So as we bid farewell to this year and prepare to embrace the next, may we carry this assurance in our hearts:
Christ is our strength, our hope, and our peace. He is with us always—in every challenge, in every triumph, and in every moment in between.
With Him, we can face the future with boldness and hope, knowing that His grace will be sufficient for every need.
