The highest and greatest commandment hinges on this one value - love. To love our neighbours as ourselves and to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.
Our God is a God of love, and He has called us to be imitators of that love.
“Let all that you do be done in love” 1 Cor 16:14
We can do great things and say great things, but if our hearts are not postured in the way of love, it means nothing.
Perhaps this is a call to examine our own hearts and motivations - what spirit are you led by? Is it a spirit of love? Or is it a spirit of fear, greed, or pride?
May all that we do be done in love, for we were made in love, and we are deeply loved.
