Liturgy For The Ritual Of Morning Coffee | Short Sermon Series

To be accompanied with your morning coffee (or tea), this is a Liturgy from “Every Moment Holy” by Doug Mckelvey.

Some of us start each day with a cup (or two) of coffee, to refuel and erase the sleep from the system. As we do so, why not use this stillness of the morning to remember that our God is able to restore our peace, our hope, our strength, our faith, and our love?

He listens and He understands, so no matter how big or how small your troubles are, you can commit them to the Lord. Like how David begins each day with prayer (Psalm 5:3), we too can compile our problems from yesterday and the day ahead, and submit them all into His hands. “... direct it to You, And I will look up”, also keeping watch, opening our eyes to His answers and His works throughout the day!

May this Liturgy be like your morning prayer, to help you enter each new day awake with the Lord, filled with His healing and strength! 😊
