Life is always so unpredictable - it takes one phone call to completely upend your world. A sudden passing of a loved one, a devastating medical diagnosis, a horrible accident. In the face of such uncertainty, with very little control over our circumstances, who can we turn to? What can be our anchor?
“The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
Psalm 18:2
The only sure and certain hope we have is God. There is nobody, and nothing else that can provide us with that comfort and assurance.
God is our rock - He is unchanging and His love and promises for us endure forever. And that should fill us with so much joy and peace! If God is for us, truly, who can be against us? There is no circumstance in this life that should knock us down to our knees in despair, for our God and King reigns supreme over every hopeless situation. He knows the depth and darkness of your valley, and He carries you through it.
No matter what you’re going through today, may this truth carry you through - God is your rock and your firm foundation, so fear not - He will take care of you.
