Two are better than one | Short Sermon Series
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labour: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
~ Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (NIV)
There is something powerful about having a companion, and we aren’t unfamiliar with God ensuring that man isn’t alone. We need each other. Designed by our Creator to have and enjoy companionship, we can accomplish more when we work together.
To help each other up when we fall, to give each other warmth, and to have each other’s back. So let us not ignore this need, instead cultivate the friendships that God blesses us with – iron sharpening iron. Growing together in our spirituality and journeying life together, showing the love we have received from Him to the ones around us.
