Which train will you choose to board? | Short Sermon Series
In our lives we often choose to get onto different rides to arrive at a desired destination. For instance, if we desire to do well in school, we must board the trains of dedication, attention, and discipline because the express trains such as laziness, cheating, and quitting are tempting us to come aboard (and we know where those would lead us).
There is another train that passes by the lives of all people. Also known as the Jesus train, some may ignore it, some wave to it, some get on momentarily and some even try to derail it. But the Bible tells us that if we wish to have a relationship with God, and arrive to the destinations of joy in this life and heaven in the one to come, we must make the decision to climb aboard and stay aboard the Jesus train.
When the Jesus train arrives at the station it has different cabins, with every one uniquely designed for each of us but not everyone boards. Why so?
You see, there is a cost to ride the Jesus train. With a boarding fee of full-hearted commitment, it does not promise the smoothest journey. There will be bumpy tracks, sudden stops, delayed departures, and noisy engines that tempt you to board other trains. But those on His train are kept close to Himself and are promised a safe arrival to our most desired destination.
So which train are you on? All aboard the Jesus train!
