Jesus is my Lighthouse | Short Sermon Series

Do you feel like you’re floating in a boat in the midst of a troubled sea? Where the waves are relentlessly hitting you, and even though you so desperately want to take a break, you just can’t see the shore?

A lighthouse is the best friend of a captain steering a ship in treacherous waters in the dark of night. It is a beacon of light that illuminates a safe path for the boat to dock at shore.

When we’re in the midst of the storms of life, looking for a safe place to just rest for a while, Jesus is the lighthouse that guides us to safety.

“In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.“ John 1:4-5 NIV

We can rest easy in the assurance that even in the darkest nights – even when we can’t see where we’re going, a bright light always shines in the darkness. No trial or troubled sea will cloud the light that Jesus brings, and we have a steadfast assurance in the everlasting life that He promises to us!
