1 Corinthians 13:4-8 is an incredible summary of what love is -

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”

If we look at the person of Jesus, we will find that He completely embodies this definition of love. Our suffering saviour was deeply patient and kind, He was humble, gentle, and faithful to the truth to the end. The love of Jesus never, ever failed - it still persists and reaches out to us even today.

What is the nature or the quality of the love that you show to the people around you? Is it a 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 kind of love?

Take some time today to reflect on whether there are qualities of love that you may be lacking in, and bring them to Jesus. Ask Jesus to teach you how to be more loving, and how to have a love that is pure, just like His! Come, ask boldly, and with an expectant heart, for the Lord delights in shaping and moulding us to be like Him.

May the designs by @arkitekyuklid remind us that God is love and in Him we find real love!
