God can use what doesn’t make sense | Short Sermon Series
After a long night of toiling and not catching any fish, Jesus told Peter to try once more. Being a fisherman, Peter would’ve thought that he would know better than Jesus (this was his profession after all). What Jesus was saying probably didn’t make any sense to Peter, given that he was experienced AND already fished all night long. He might’ve even been thinking “What does Jesus know about fishing?” and didn’t feel like doing what Jesus said, but he did it anyway and ended up with probably the biggest catch of his fishing career!
Jesus, our High Priest | Short Sermon Series
Let’s be honest, we are not perfect. But we ARE found in Jesus! Jesus is our High Priest who represents us before God.
Behold | Short Sermon Series
Are you ready for God to do a new thing?
In Isaiah 43, Scripture says, “Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth”. Notice the word behold? It means to “stand in awe and amazement”, and the Bible is filled with beholds - from the parting of the Red Sea, to the walls of Jericho crumbling down, to the resurrection of Jesus. We are given so many opportunities to behold the goodness, love and power of our God.
Faith doesn’t make it easy, faith makes it possible | Short Sermon Series
Talk to God often; even if you’re not perfect, talk to God. It won’t always make our life easier, but faith doesn’t make things easy, faith makes it possible.
A relationship with God is the same all the time | Short Sermon Series
Here’s the thing about a relationship with God - it’s the same all the time. He never changes, His word is true and it doesn’t have loopholes in it. It is what it is and He’s very clear that He’s the same yesterday, today, and forevermore.
Feeling Swallowed By Life | Short Sermon Series
Ever felt swallowed by life? Maybe by depression, conflict or worry, and it left you feeling hopeless? Jonah did too. As Jonah ran from God, he was swallowed by a big fish and as He sat in that fish, He looked up to God and prayed (Jonah 2). From the very first verse of Jonah 2, we see him turning to God and it’s a reminder for us to look up to God when we’re feeling overwhelmed and hopeless.
Living The Resurrection Life | Short Sermon Series
“It is finished.” Everyone’s heard this line before, but we often forget that what Jesus did on the cross is eternal. It IS finished - not was or will be finished - and we are free!
Single & Secure | Short Sermon Series
If you’re obsessed with what’s to come, you’ll miss out on what’s now. People always think the grass is greener on the other side - singles just want to get married and some who are married wish they treasured single-hood more! But the grass is green where you to chose to water the grass. God has called us to be secure in whatever season we’re in.
Don't Forget To Remember! | Short Sermon Series
“Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits” Psalm 103:2
Let’s be real, its easy to forget stuff in life! We’ve all forgotten a good friend’s birthday at some point. It doesn’t mean that they’re unimportant, it’s just that importance doesn’t always trigger our memory!
New Beginnings in Unlikely Circumstances | Short Sermon Series
Seems as though God is into new beginnings, and tends to birth them in unlikely circumstances. The young boy named David killed Goliath with a sling and stone, Paul, who initially persecuted followers of Christ then became an influential voice in the Bible after encountering Jesus, and the Virgin Mary gave birth to Jesus in a manger. What makes you think it couldn’t be you too?
